CPI accuses district administration for discriminating in implementing in Election Code of Conduct
Coimbatore: Communist Party of India (CPI) has accused that the district administration is discriminating in enforcing the election code of conduct at a consultation meeting with political parties held at the Tirupur District Collectorate.

A consultative meeting on the implementation of Election Code of Conduct with recognized political parties was held at the Tirupur District Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Collector and District Election Officer Vijayakarthikeyan. It was attended by political party executives including DMK, AIADMK, Congress, BJP and Communist parties. CPI accused Election officials discriminate in removal of party banners of CPI according to election code of conduct in Tirupur district after the party informed the party about the election rules.
They accused that AIADMK's advertising banners have not yet been removed and are still placed in public view in various places. An argument ensued when the AIADMK tried to respond. The consultation meeting went smoothly after the district administration promised to take immediate action on removing those banners.
