DMK is making false allegation of corruption against AIADMK, when they are the source of all corruption in the state: CM Edappadi Palanisamy

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy spoke to reporters this evening at the airport and said that he had come to participate in the campaign for various events in Namakkal and Trichy districts.

Former DMK mayor Subramaniam had given a statement today and Chief Minister said that he has given several false news to appease his leader.

Chief Minister added that similar to the DMK Mayor, DMK general secretary Duraimurugan has also issued a false statement and has criticized the AIADMK for being corrupt. CM said that DMK were the owners of corruption in TN and questioned whether Duraimurugan would release the details of his property when he was a member of the Legislative Assembly and the details of his property now.

He said that his college was built using money earned through corruption and even the walls fo the college would testify for it. The Chief Minister accused Duraimurugan of forgetting the corruption allegations against DMK.

"In 1991, the All Women Police Station and the Women's Court were established under the AIADMK regime. Action has been taken against those involved in violence against women and children under the Goondas Act and this government is acting with concern for the welfare of women and children. The DMK leader has lodged a complaint with the governor alleging that the canceled tenders as a basis of corruption. The complaint was lodged out of frustration that the AIADMK regime was not ending. What does actor Kamal Haasan know about Tamil Nadu? He has been acting till the age of 70 and has entered politics in his retirement. I have been in politics for 46 years. Kamal may be excellent in acting but he is zero when it comes to politics."

He said the National Democratic Alliance will continue in Tamil Nadu and the Chief Ministerial candidate has been announced. When asked why the BJP has not yet declared him as its chief ministerial candidate. For this he replied that the Chief Ministerial candidate on behalf of their party was announced as the election work was going on in their party.

He further added that new strain coronavirus symptoms have been found in 13 people in Tamil Nadu and samples of those 13 people have been sent to Pune. He said the cases will be confirmed once the studies are over.

When asked about his meeting with actor Vijay, he said that as the theaters were not fully open actor Vijay had met me in this regard. He commented that at least Stalin has taken part in the protests in the DMK to some extent but questioned what Udayanidhi had done for the party. He said that DMK is called a corporate party because it puts their family first instead of the hard working members first.

He also said that people like him can rise if they work faithfully for the leadership of the AIADMK. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy also said that the people would not accept the coalition cabinet as far as Tamil Nadu was concerned and that it was AIADMK's stand.
