Rajinikanth discharged from hospital: Advised complete bed rest for one week


Coimbatore: Rajinikanth discharged from hospital following his blood pressure becoming stable. He was admitted with severe hypertension and exhaustion. He was kept under medical supervision and was being treated for his hypertension. As his blood pressure has stabilized and he was feeling much better, he was discharged today.



Doctors have advised complete bed rest for one week, with regular monitoring of blood pressure. He is advised to exert minimal physical activity and to avoid stress. In view of his post-transplant status, labile hypertension and he has been asked to avoid all activities that increase his risk of contracting COVID-19.

This is sure to put off his political party launch plans which were already delayed and not conducive for participating in 2021 Assembly elections.
