Coimbatore Bishop Timothy Ravender met with the media in front of the CSI Zonal Office said that "Special masses and prayers on Christmas and New year will happen as per government guidelines and special prayer service will be arranged for kids under the age of 10 and elders above the age of 60."
He also said that even the lack of funds for the diocese this year due to Covid-19, the diocese has still contributed help to more that 60,000 people across 8 districts.
Bishop Timothy Ravender appreciated the role of frontline workers and media in this difficult time of Covid-19 pandemic.
He also said that the diocese of South India has offered medical insurance to its workers. Bishop Timothy Ravender also said that 20% - 75% of the school fees has been waived for the students who are studying in schools and colleges associated with the diocese.
He also said that he is in discussion on how to help the farmers who are protesting in Delhi and that everyone should work in unity towards making India a super power nation.
