Mini clinic launched for the first time in Nilgiris district
The Nilgiris: The District Collector on Tuesday launched the Amma Mini Clinic project for the first time in the Nilgiris district for the benefit of the patient.
Chief Minister Palanisamy has announced that Amma Mini Clinics will be set up across Tamil Nadu to cater to the basic medical needs of the people of Tamil Nadu.

As a part of this, for the first time in the Nilgiris district, District Collector Innocent Divya inaugurated the clinic in Jegathala village.
These clinics are advised to treat colds, flu, headaches, etc. and to give monthly medications to patients with ailments such as diabetes and high blood pressure. The mini-clinics will be open from 8 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 7 pm.
The District Collector said, there are 20 clinics for rural areas, 5 clinics for urban areas, 3 mobile clinics and a total of 28 mini-clinics in the Nilgiris district.
The event was attended by Coonoor MLA Shanthi Ramu, Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Kappachi Vinod, Coonoor Governor Ranjit Singh and Medical Deputy Director Balusamy among others. Pregnant women were also given nutritional boxes worth Rs. 2000 free of cost.
