People are not affected by the increase in petrol and diesel prices, price is being raised for the revenue of the Central Government - Annamalai, BJP
Coimbatore: Annamalai State VP of BJP said people are not affected by the increase in petrol and diesel prices and that price is being kept high for the revenue of the Central Government.
Despite falling international crude oil prices, petrol and diesel prices are not falling in India alone. It is to be noted that petrol and diesel prices has been rising day by day in India
Opposition parties are stating with proof that if prices are being determined based on the crude oil prices the petrol and diesel prices would be only half. Tamil Nadu BJP vice president Annamalai's interpretation of the petrol and diesel price hike has shocked everyone.
Annamalai said there was no harm to the public from the increase in petrol and diesel prices and added that the increase in petrol and diesel price and cylinder was for the revenue of central government to execute development projects.
While the central government keeps projecting that more people are paying taxes and the economy is doing well, this facade of needing heavy taxes from people to run projects don't augur well for the government.
