Coimbatore: Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy conducts art competition and compiles desktop calendar to commemorate International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy had been conducting Special Walkathon (Walk to defeat the differences) an unique event to demonstrate inclusion in the society. They had almost 3000+ participants in their Second edition - 2019 and received huge support from general public. Due to the pandemic Covid-19, the walkathon has been cancelled.
3rd December is International Day of Persons with Disabilities and this year the theme is - A DAY FOR ALL! In a note they said, "Almost everyone will be temporarily or permanently impaired at some point in life, on this day let's take an attempt to make everyday and every place is for all and demonstrate inclusion and acceptance. Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy salutes all the People with Determination across the globe for being the inspiration."
This year as a dedication for all children with special needs, Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy conducted an art competition and their art work has been made as a 2021 desktop calendar.
