Coimbatore: Based on a tip that government issued rice bags are being smuggled from Pollachi to Kerala, district sub collector, Anamalai zonal distribution officer, Anamalai zonal revenue officer and Kotur revenue officer went on a inspection early today morning.

During the inspection of vehicles the officals saw a four-wheeler that was bound to Kerala. The vehicle did not stop when the officials asked them to. When the police final caught them after chasing the driver of the vehicle ran away.
