Tirupur: The district administration officials had earlier assured the removal of a government run tasmac in Vavipalayam,Tirupur within 90 days, after the public and all party members protested against it.
With the officials failing to remove the tasmac as assured, members of all parties met the Tirupur District Collector yesterdayalong with a banner which emphasized the public's request.
The public wanted the tasmac to be removed as it was situated at the center of the residential area.
