Assistant commissioner Stalin meets with ex-convicts! Warns them to avoid involvement in criminal activities!

As the Covid-19 unlock is happening now the criminal activities are happening often. Coimbatore Police department are now involved in a task to prevent criminal activities such as robbery, burglary, chain snatching etc.


Coimbatore: After the Covid-19 pandemic there has been a spike of criminal activities in Coimbatore district. As a need to curb such criminal activities, police officials had issued warnings yesterdayto all known rowdies and ex-convicts who are now out of jail.



As the Covid-19 unlock is happening now the criminal activities are happening often. Coimbatore Police department are now involved in a task to prevent criminal activities such as robbery, burglary, chain snatching etc.

As a part of the task, the officials are maintaining a record which accounts all the previous crimes done by a person which helps the police to track them. Names of the people who were involved in more than two crimes are present in this list.

After a recent research the police officials have concluded that a lot of ex-convicts are having links to the recent crimes happening in the city. To address such incidents and to prevent the ex-convicts into getting back at doing criminal activities, the police officials are continuously monitoring them.



At the next level the Coimbatore police department arranged for a meeting with all ex-convicts in the Coimbatore district.

The meeting was held at a private wedding hall near Tatabad and Assistant Commissioner Stalin addressed the gathering.

During his address Assistant Commissioner Stalin warned the ex-convicts not to get involved in criminal activities. He asked them to take care of their families and kids and turn over a new leaf rather than repeating the same mistakes again. He also appreciated the ex-convicts who are now working as auto drivers and labourers who are working hard and advised them to not to go back to do wrong doings.

Assistant commissioner Stalin also warned against ex-convicts going as mercenaries for any person or company. He also warned the ex-convicts that if they are involved in any criminal activities then they will be sentenced to a year in prison.
