Coimbatore: A special practice session on how to design safe roads in Coimbatore was organised by the German company GIZ at Taj hotel yesterday. Assistant Corporation Commissioner S Madurandhagi inaugurated the session.

As a part of the Ministry of Housing and Rural Development, GIZ conducts special training programs to build safe roads in cities like Coimbatore, Cochin and Bubaneshwar.
This special training is focused on giving information such as building safe roads, safe roads for motorless vehicles and knowledge in building roads which prioritize pedestrians, roadside vendors and old age people to the engineers who are responsible for building the roads for the corporation.
This special program organised by GIZ organization is scheduled to happen for 7 days. The first phase of the session is scheduled on 21st, 22nd, 26th and 30th of Decemberandthe second phase on January 6thin 2021.
