Nanda Gopalakrishnan hails from Kanchampally near Annur in Coimbatore district. Worked as a junior engineer at the bus depot. This morning Gopalakrishnan went on his moped with his friend Anand Kumar to visit his cousin at Nerayam School near Avinashi.
When they went to Avinashi Mettupalayam road, an unidentified vehicle collided with them and did not stop. Both were thrown out of their vehicles and died on the spot in a pool of blood.
Avinashi police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of 2 persons and sent them to the government hospital for autopsy. Avinashi police have registered a case and are investigating.
Sasikumar (age 42), a laborer, hails from Coimbatore Urumandampalayam Nanjaikoundanputhur area. He was on his way to Mettupalayam from Coimbatore on his motorcycle yesterday. The car coming from behind suddenly lost control and collided with the motorcycle driven by Sasikumar when it came near the Vellakinar section. He died on the spot. Thudiyalur police are investigating the case.
Shanmugasundaram alias Shanmugasundaram (age 40) hails from the Sulur Sencherimalai area of Coimbatore. He was walking near a government school on Sulur Road in Chencherimalai last evening. Then an unidentified vehicle coming that way collided with Shanmugasundaram and went on without stopping. Those present rescued him and admitted him to Palladam Government Hospital for treatment. Doctors who examined him there said he was already dead.
Sultanpet police have registered a case and are investigating the incident with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the area.
