Blankets for the homeless campaign: Thuyil an initiative to help homeless people afford peaceful sleep!
Coimbatore: With the winter season approaching the city Rotaract club of Coimbatore has partnered with Blood for Life in a new initiative this December.

Under this new partnership,Thuyil an event to provide blankets to 35 homeless people across Coimbatore.
The event happened today and the blankets were handed over to 35 homeless peoples from different parts of Coimbatore.
The initiative has been conceptualized to provide blankets as a support to give a minimal help of a peaceful sleep this winter for the homeless. It also accounts to the various health diseases that may develop on the homeless people who sleep on the roads without any coverings or sleep using anything they get to cover themselves.
This event was spearheaded by Rotaract club of Coimbatore Unique RI District 3201 Parented by Rotary club of Thondamuthur has been working with the society for the past 13 years.
The event was a managed by Coimbatore Unique, a club which organises various events for the welfare of the society and have initiated projects like RED DOT – Only for Women Menstruation Health, Karam- Donating notebooks to village students and many more.This club is lead by Rtr Monica, President and Rtr Akshaya, Secretary for the year (20-21).
Another main partner of the event was Blood for Life, a new voluntary life saving organization initiated by Master Nikhil from Coimbatore with the blood donors database. It is a social initiative serving blood requests for the past 2 months.
