Truck carrying boulders overturned on the hill road and crashed.
Coimbatore: Tipper Lorry which was on its way to Anaikatti from Coimbatore with a load of gravel, turned towards the left to avoid colliding with an oncoming car on the hill roads near Mangarai. Unexpectedly, the truck overturned in a pit on the side of the road.
Luckily the driver escaped and the lorry got stuck in the pit. The truck that fell into the pit was recovered by the help of cranes. The accident caused a traffic jam on the Anaikatti road for about an hour. The people of the area demanded that barricades must be placed on the road from Mangarai to Anaikatti as several accidents happened due to the lack of it.
