Tirupur Ladies Circle donates napkin vending machine under "Project Crimson"

Ladies Circle International's International Service Project, "Project Crimson" launched


Tirupur: "Project Crimson" - the Ladies Circle International's International Services project was launched in Tirupur. A napkin vending machine worth Rs. 2,50,000 was set up and inaugurated at Mariyalayam Tirupur (A home for women in distress and destitute women) by Tirupur Ladies Circler 44.



Project Crimson is being executed in rural India over the past two years. This project involves other countries contributing towards ending the lack of napkin during period in India. The project involves manufacturing low cost, biodegradable sanitary napkins.



These machines have been set up with NGOs who have women looking for jobs and to give them the economic opportunity to build themselves a living. The main sponsor for this project is Ladies Circle Germany.
