Coimbatore: Foundries strike for 4th day in Coimbatore with production loss of Rs 120 crore. The 400 foundry factories in Coimbatore are continuing to protest for the 4th day today, demanding action to control the rise in raw material prices.
Sivashanmuga Kumar, president of the Coimbatore Small and Micro Association, said: “We are still on strike for the fourth day in a row, demanding immediate action to control the rise in raw material prices. This has resulted in a production loss of Rs 120 crore."
The Central government or the party heads in Coimbatore have not yet engaged with the associations in a meaningful way yet.
