A student of 9th grade hanged herself to death after her parents warned her over using smartphone overtime!
Coimbatore: Belsiya (14) daughter of Anburaj who lived near Kurinjipalayam, Karumathampati was studying 9th grade in a private school in Sulur.
Since the schools are still shut down due to the ongoing pandemic, the classes were conducted online. To attend her classes online, her parents bought her a smartphone for educational purposes.
It is said that Belsiya was using her phone overtime even after her classes and her mom complained to Belsiya about using her phone too much.
Belsiya was deeply hurt by her mom's complaint, hanged herself to death yesterday night. Her mom was shocked after she found Belsiya's body hanging in her room.
A case was registered at the Karumathampati police station who took Belsiya's body for autopsy. Karumathampati police department is investigating the case furtherly.
