Tirupur: The Marxist Communist party (CPI-M) members participated in a protest against the hike in the price of LPG cylinders by performing last rights to gas cylinders in Tirupur.

The party members in Tirupur protested against the hike in the price of LPG cylinders and against giving jobs in the electricity board to private companies.
Also the members of the Marxist Communist party protested in front of the Tirupur Corporation Office and emphasized the issue of price hike which has increased over 100 rupees in the last 15 days.
As a part of their protest the party members performed pooja as a part of last rights to the LPG cylinders, chanted slogans against the central and state governments rule. The protestors also protested that the government should drop the idea of making the electric board private.
