Man who abused police woman along with his affair arrested
Coimbatore: Man who abused police woman along with his lover was arrested. Anandan is from Mahalingapuram near Vellalore in Coimbatore and his wife Uma (age 47), works as a constable in the Selvapuram crime branch.
She lodged a complaint at the Podanur police station. It said, "Anandan and I fell in love and got married in 2007. He has been working as a driver. We have 2 sons. My husband Anandan was harassing me by forcing me to sell the house in my name in Chennai and buy a house in Coimbatore. This led to frequent disputes between us. My husband has an affair with a woman from Kangeyampalayam for the last 2 years. He was going around enjoying with the woman without going to work properly."
She further added that "when she reprimanded him, he attacked her and went to Kangeyampalayam and started living with that woman. Day before yesterday when she was at home, Anandan who came home with his extramarital lover asked her to give his motorcycle key. When she refused he and the woman attacked her in front of my children, grabbed her by the hair, pushed her down and threatened to kill me."
Therefore she urged appropriate action should be taken against them. Based on the complaint, the woman filed a case against her husband Anandan and his lover Chitra, who had beaten and tortured the police and giving death threats and violence against women. Anandan was later arrested and imprisoned. They are looking for Chitra who is absconding.
