Youth arrested under POCSO for raping a 16 year old girl
Coimbatore: A youth who sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl near Pollachi has been arrested under the POCSO Act. Dinesh (19) is the son of a lorry driver living in Pollachi. He has been helping his father in his work. He got acquainted with a 16-year-old girl and it is alleged that he lured the girl to come along with him.
The girl's mother lodged a complaint at the Pollachi taluk police station. The police were looking for the girl after filing a case based on the complaint. Dinesh, who was hiding near Gopalapuram, was arrested. The investigation revealed that the girl was taken away and sexually abusing her. The accused was booked under the POCSO Act and imprisoned at Gobichettipalayam.
