Coimbatore: Women police officers who passed the TamilNadu police examination in Coimbatore met after two decades.
Coimbatore: Women police officers who passed the TamilNadu police examination in Coimbatore met after two decades. These 272 police women who met originally for their exams during the year 2000 and the police women together completed their training at the Vellore Training Center. After successful completion of training, they were posted in different districts.
The friendship which developed during the training period, continued even after they joined various departments once their training was completed. Although being posted at different places across the districts like Karur, Chennai and Madurai the police officers said that they were in contact via phone, facebook etc for over 20 years now.
It was then suggested by the friends to meet up since it's been such a long time ago that they met. The friends at Coimbatore arranged this reunion which happened at a private resort in Selvapuram.
Over 140 of them reached Coimbatore, to meet their friends and this beautiful meeting was filled with tears of joys and pleasantries.
In the event which happened from 11 in the morning, the families of the policewoman who worked together were met and discussed during the entire occasion. The reunion also had other games and activities.
At the end of the reunion all the 140 members who attended the reunion, dressed themselves in a similar saree and clicked a group picture together.
In the event 4 Inspectors and 3 Sub Inspectors from the samebatch were also present.
Post lunch around 4pm the police officials left for their respective cities and the send off moments melted everybody's heart. The women police in this reunion took an oath that they will meet every year and that meetups like this should happen regularly which will strengthen their bond which stands now for 20 years.
