In an incident police seized around 650 liquor bottles from a man's house in Kollupalayam, Pollachi that were kept to be sold at the black market. The police arrest 5 people who were involved in this.

The Coimbatore City police department recently arrested Sathish Kumar, for stocking and selling liquor bottles in black market. Sathish Kumar was also booked for running a gambling club at his house.
Once the police received information on the dealings, a team under inspector Radhakrishnan was formed which quickly acted leading to the arrest.
During the raid police seized around 650 bottles of liquor along with 62,820 rupees cash. The Police arrested Selvaraj, Raja, Ganesh Kumar, Sivakumar who were gambling with money in Sathish Kumar's house.
Coimbatore Superintendent of Police Arularasu warned SI Manikaran of his ignorance and that they could have stopped it earlier if the Komangalam police department had worked effectively. Post the issue SP Arularasu yesterday ordered for the transfer of SI Manikaran to the armed forces department.
