Maheshwaran (age 22), a laborer, hails from South Car Street, Sulur, Coimbatore. Last night he was standing in front of his house when 2 teenagers were speeding on a motorcycle and racing. Children were playing in the street then. Seeing this, Maheswaran stopped the teenagers and asked, "Why are you going so fast, what will happen if you hit on the children?" said. This led to an argument between them.
The enraged youth on a motorcycle hurled insults and assaulted Maheswaran. Injured, he fainted and fell down. The matter was later reported to the Sulur police. Police subsequently arrested Karthik and Puviarasan, both from Karuppaboyar Street, on charges of disturbing the public and making death threats. They are looking for their friend Vicky who is hiding.
