Police seized around 650 liquor bottles from a man's house in Kollupalayam, Pollachi that were kept to be sold at the black market. The police arrest 5 people who were involved in this.
Coimbatore: The officials of Pollachi taluk recently received information on a man named Sathish Kumar is selling liquor bottles in black market who is also involved in maintaining a gambling arena at his house.
Under the order of Coimbatore Police Superintendent Arularasu, policemen rushed into the house of Sathish Kumar and conducted a quick search.
During the search the police officials found cases of liquors bottles stacked to be sold away in the black market during demand.
The police seized the 650 liquor bottles along with 62,820 rupees cash from scene. The Police arrested Selvaraj, Raja, Ganesh Kumar, Sivakumar who were gambling with money in Sathish Kumar's house.
During further investigation it is revealed that people were gambling with money of worth many lakhs at Sathish Kumar's place.
The police are also have a thorough investigation on the five men who were arrested.
