Elephant attacking checkpost entrance near Anaikatti creates fear!

A wild elephant which decided to enter the Anaikatti border roamed around the streets causing panic.


Coimbatore: At 4 am yesterday near the Anaikatti area in Coimbatore a wild elephant roamed around the streets causing the residents to panic.

The elephant first attacked the checkpost on the entrance, the elephant was barked at by a street dog, this made the elephant angry which chased the dog around for sometime.

Later the elephant visited the same checkpoint were the police officials were present. Then the elephant saw a near by plantation field and went to destroy it.

This sudden visit of a single wild elephant created panic during the morning hours for both the public and the police guards at the checkpoint.
