Coimbatore: Two cars collided in Pollachi Udumalpet Road Kedimedu area. 2 were killed in the accident. One person was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries, Komangalam police said.

Annamalai (34) is a resident of Nanjakavundanpudur village near Pollachi. His friends Vijayakumar (40) from Nattukalpalayam and Muruganantham is from Pollachi NG Colony. The 3 are in the business of buying and selling cars. Today the three were traveling by car from Pollachi to buy a car in Udumalpet. He drove the car to Annamalai and unexpectedly collided head-on with a car coming from Madurai near Kedimedu.
Annamalai died on the spot in the accident. The injured Vijayakumar and Muruganantham were later rescued by the public and brought to Pollachi Government Hospital. There Vijayakumar succumbed to his injuries. Muruganantham who is seriously injured has been admitted to Pollachi Private Hospital for treatment. Komangalam police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
