Elephant that trampled 3 to death identified: Forest department officers intensifies work to capture it
The Nilgiris: The wild elephant that killed three people in Pandalur yesterday has been identified as Rambadi Broken Tusker.
Union Councilor Anand Raja and his son Prasanth were killed on the spot last night in a wild elephant attack at Kolappalli, 10 Lines area near Gudalur.

Following this, the forest department has accelerated the task of capturing this wild elephant.

Three Kumki elephants, Kaleem, Wasim and Bomman, have been called in to catch the wild elephant that is attacking the public in Pandalur. Three teams that include three veterinarians, including veterinarian Manoharan, are preparing to inject the wild elephant with anesthetic.
Four forest officer teams are currently involved in the search for the wild elephant. Authorities said the elephant would be captured and taken to the Mudumalai camp.
