A luxury car stolen 6 months ago was recovered by police officials in a random vehicle check.
Coimbatore: The man stole a luxury car at Sulur almost 6 months earlier got caught at apolice inspection. Police sub inspector Pandiyaraj and his team of policemen were having an inspection day before yesterday at the Kangayampalayam inspection point near Sulur.
During their inspection the policemen saw a speeding car their way, policemen after seeing it tried to stop the car but the driver drove fast to get away.
After the police finally stopped the car the driver told that the brake was suddenly not working. Further investigating on why he was speeding the police found the man suspicious.
Later the police took the man to the Sulur police station for further investigation.
During the police investigation it was found out that the man was George Kumar (24) a driver from Dindigul who was working near Sulur. It was also revealed that George was involved in a car stealing case in Sulur and also had other robberies cases on him.
The police have now arrested him and are further investigating him about his links to the car case and whether he had company.
