Elephant destroys windows and doors of a ration shops in Valparai. Public panicked as they may return back.
Coimbatore: Iyerpadi estate in Valparai, is home to almost 600 families. Government ration shops and schools are located at the centre were the houses are located.

5 wild elephants around the nearby area visited thie estate at the early hours today. The elephants attacked the ration shop of the locality and damaged the doors and windows of the shop.

The elephants broke in the shop ate abd destroyed rice, dhal and other pulses which were kept stock inside the shop. Hearing the loud noise made by the elephants during the menace the neighbours of the locality informed the forest department and also joined in the struggle for many hours to send the elephants away.
But the forest officials and the area public are in panic as the expect the elephants to return. The forest officials are taking serious measures and involved in serious patrols to monitor the elephant activity in the area.
