Coimbatore: Farmers are protesting against the central government's new Agricultural Reform Act for 19 days now and many political parties and general public have now extended their support towards the opposition of this act.

The farmer's union as a part of their support, participated in a protest infront of the district collectorate office in Coimbatore. Earlier over 100 members took part in a protest earlier and were arrested.
Yesterday a total of 87 members were arrested for protesting. With them released today the members of the union again went on a protest today by clapping hands to attract the attention of the central government.
The leader of the Tamilnadu Farmer's Union Palanisamy participated in the protest and the police officials arrested over 52 memmbers including 1 woman.
