Coimbatore: A review meeting to discuss the progress of the ongoing development schemes in Coimbatore under the Smart City Project was held under the chairmanship of Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian today.
This review meeting on the Smart City Project checked on the developments on roads, parks, drinking water supply line works and underground sewer lane works.
Under the Smart City project, Coimbatore Corporation is planned to get hitech roads, recreational parks, children parks and playgrounds, street lights, sidewalks and multi level car parking space.
The ongoing Smart City process is designed to beautify the Lakes in the central zone such as Ukkadam, Periyakulam, Valangulam and Muthanamkulam.
The committee head Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel after overseeing the process discussed about the future development process across the city and ordered the officials to complete the ongoing projects without any delay the 24 hours drinking water availability scheme etc.
Smart City Chief Executive Officer N. Rajkumar (IRS), Corporation Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Executive Engineer Parvathy, Planning committee head Gopalakrishnan along with assistant executive engineers attended this meeting.
