Coimbatore: Aravind Subbiah (19) s/o Manikam who is a resident of Cheranmanagar, Peelamedu was found hanging in his house. Aravind who was studying his UG from a college in Coimbatore said to been have depressed for the last one month and he was finding it hard to concentrate on his studies.

Yesterdaywhen his mother and sister went to a relatives place in Erode, Aravind who was already depressed decided to end his life. He was later found to have hanged to death. The police have filed a case under section 174 and are investigating the case.
In another incident, Udaiyakumar (37) who was a jeweller belonged to the Selvapuram, SIC Colony, Shastri Nagar hanged himself to death yesterday.
It is believed that Udaiyakumar who was found struggling to make ends meet as his shop was shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic sorted the help of private financial institutions. Unable to pay back the loan, Udaiyakumar commited suicide. The policemen have recovered the body and filed a case under the section 174 and are further investigatiing on it.
