The man attacked by the bear is now admitted at the college after the heavy blows.
Coimbatore: Rasu (75) from Manaparai, Trichy was a guest at the Seniyappa estate in Valparai, Coimbatore. Rasu who went out today during the early hours of 6am for urinating was attacked by a bear which was hiding in a bush.

The bear attacked Rasu by biting his head when he tried to escape. After fighting the bear during which he was injured severely Rasu finally escaped the claws of the bear.
Rasu's grandson Kanagaraj informed the Manampalli forest officials Manigandan and Siekh Umar about the incident who then took him for a first aid at the Sholiyar government hospital.
Rasu who sustained multiple injuries has 35 sutures on his head. He is now admitted at the Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment as he had heavy injuries to his head.
