Coimbatore: A Coimbatore college student has inspired many youngsters by becoming an MSME Industrialist (student category/approved by the Central Government) by manufacturing "Automated Hand Sanitizer Machines" at a reasonable price. With his hardworking achievement, he has made the region proud and also awaits further recognition.
In an exclusive interview with 'SimpliCity' the achiever student, Bharath Kumar elucidated his story. “I am Bharath Kumar, pursuing BSC Electronics at PSGCAS, Coimbatore. My father works as a ‘Maestri’ in the construction sector and mom is a homemaker. I also have one sister. I am very much interested in inventing various products which will benefit people.Post 'Covid-19' outbreak I wanted to invent a very useful product which will be helpful to the people. Later I decided to invent an 'Automated Hand Sanitizer Machine' at a reasonable price much cheaper than the ones which are now available in the market.
During August I sent my project to the Central Government and got the approval (MSME/Student category). Following this the next obstacle I faced was Financing my project. I somehow managed it by borrowing loans from private finance institutions. I succeeded in my efforts of manufacturing an "Automated Hand Sanitizer Machine".
Currently I am manufacturing two types of units; 2 litres and 5 litres. The 2 litre unit is priced Rs 3,150 and the 5 litres unit is sold for Rs 4,850. The cost is very much cheaper than that of the similar products which are selling in the market which features the products with a "life long guarantee."
So far I have manufactured and sold 10 units. At present I have installed the 3 units inside the PSG college premises. Another highlighting factor about my effort is that I have got UGC approval from the Bharathiyar University and 2 units have been installed inside the university premises.
During his interview with SimpliCity Bharath Kumar also said that he has done many projects in Solar and Hydro Electricity which needs more recognition.
