Coimbatore: In a tragic incident Kavitha (39) a housewife from Rathinapuri, Coimbatore committed suicide. Kavitha who was a resident of Isaac street, Rathinapuri and has left behind her husband Thiruvarul (40) and two kids, a son and a daughter. It is said that Kavitha's husband Thiruvarul who owned a workshop lost his business during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thiruvarul who was trying hard couldn't yet come out of the troubles. Kavitha who was disturbed by this committed suicide by hanging herself.
In another incident, Karupasami (60) a labourer from Ponnapuram, Pollachi who was consuming tablets already for blood pressure, ate another tablet which was not prescribed to him.
This made Karupasami faint and his relatives later admitted him at the Pollachi Government Hospital. Even after first aid there and rigorous treatment at Coimbatore Government Hospital, he passed away. The Vadakampalayam police department have now filed a case under section 174 regarding this incident and are now further investigating it.
