Assam worker dies in his sleep in Selvapuram

A man who hails from north India, suffocated to death after eating parotta. Tragic death creates panic in Selvapuram, Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The residents of Selvapuram, Coimbatore are in shock as a North Indian man suffocated to death in his sleep.

Zahir Islam (25) who hailed from Assam was staying in Selvapuram, Coimbatore is working as a master in a nearby hotel. Zahir who returned to his room yesterday night after finishing his duty and having parotta for dinner was found dead at 4 am in the morning as he died of suffocation. He was found to be foaming in his mouth when his roommates rushed him to the hospital

The neighbours immediately took Zahir to the Coimbatore Government Hospital where he was checked by the doctors who then declared him dead. The Selvapuram policemen have filed a case and are investigating further.
