Coimbatore: Police have arrested and jailed two men for soliciting prostitution near Singanallur in Coimbatore.
Danapal (22), is an employee of a private company in Madukkarai, Coimbatore. He was walking near Sulur yesterday morning.
At that time, two men there guided him and said that they have two good looking women with whom they can have sexual acts. Danapal was shocked to hear this and went away saying that he was not having money with him.
He later lodged a complaint with the Sulur police. Police rushed to the scene, where the two were taken into custody and interrogated.
The investigation revealed that they kept prostitutes in a house there and engaged in prostitution. Following this, the police rescued a 40-year-old woman from Singanallur and handed her over.
Police also registered a case and confiscated two motorcycles and a cellphone used for prostitution. Velmurugan (35) from Dindigul and Selvaraj (63) from Singanallur were arrested and remanded for soliciting prostitution.
