Hariharan (14) hails from Pollachi Kottur Road, Coimbatore district. He was a 6th standard student in a school there.
Today he went to Pollachi Road from Coimbatore on a motorcycle with his friend Mohammad Bayas. At that time, the lorry, which was passing by, suddenly lost control and collided with the motorcycle driven by Hariharan when it was passing near CTC ridge and the two were thrown out of the vehicle.
Hariharan died tragically on the spot in a pool of blood. Mohammad Bayas was critically injured and was rushed to the Pollachi Government Hospital. He is receiving intensive care there. Mahalingapuram police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
Similarly, Nawshat Ali (30), is an employee of a private company in Annur Gandhi Nagar. On the day of the incident, he was traveling on his motorcycle from Coimbatore to Sathy Road.
Then, when he came near Kurumbapalayam, the motorcycle suddenly lost control and the bike collided with a tree on the roadside. Neighbors were shocked to find him seriously injured and rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors who examined him there said he had died on the way to the hospital. Kovilpalayam police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
