Coimbatore: ADMK Spokesperson Pugalendi in a sensational interview said lawyers are also one of the reason for imprisonment of Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets case against her.
He said that in 1996, two cases were filed against former chief minister Jayalalithaa on behalf of the DMK and the case was withdrawn after crores of rupees of government money were wasted.
He said another case was also withdrawn to speed things up. He then pointed out that MP A. Raja speaks ill of our former chief minister, chief minister and deputy chief minister but CM Edappadi Palanisamy has never spoken ill about Kalaignar.
He questioned "why he was looking for shortcuts without going and arguing honestly with a lawyer while the CBI was appealing in the 2G case. Senthil Balaji, who left the DMK, is facing criminal charges and Stalin was trying to take revenge."
He went on to add that "TTV Dhinakaran is the main culprit in the Pleasant Stay Hotel case and questioned the reason for his release from the case and what was the relationship between Dinakaran and DMK."
