With the fear of contagious disease that can spread with stagnant water, the residents of Kosal Nagar in Kuniyamuthur are worried the water has been drained by the corporation workers even after two weeks.

Due to continous rain as a part of North East monsoons in Coimbatore, rainwater has been continuously filling up lakes throughout the city. The continuous rains has also filled up the areas surrounding Kosal Nagar in Kuniyamuthur.

The Kosal Nagar area has been filling up with water from the rain and the overflowing water from the lake nearby.
Due to this, elders and children in the locality are in the high risk category of being prone to contagious disease. The residents have been complaining multiple times about this issue to the corporation officals and haven't received any updates on that.
The residents of the locality said that they are facing issues travelling for work daily and that the stagnant water gives away a foul smell that is getting unbearable.

Also the residents also have complained about the stagnant rainwater being breeding place for mosquitoes and poisonous insects.
The Kosal Nagar residents have again raised concerns about this issue and requested the corporation authorities to take immediate actions.
