Two men including a pedestrian killed in tragic bike accident near Vadavalli in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: In a tragic bike accident, a 32-year-old man and a 57-year-old man were killed, near Vadavalli here, on Wednesday afternoon.
Vijay (32) a resident of Karuppasamy Mudhaliyar street, Vadavalli is working as an electrician at Bommanampalayam.On Wednesday noon, Vijay had reportedly left to Gandhipuram to renew his bike insurance. While he was returning back to office, his bike lost control and banged on a pedestrian, Arumugasamy (57) on Thondamuthur - Vadavalli road.
In the accident, both Vijay and Arumugasamy, a labourer from Navavoor Privu sustained grievous injuries and were rushed to Coimbatore Government hospital. Unfortunately, Arumugasamy died on the way to the hospital. And, Vijay was treated at the ICU.
Vijay who was battling for his life, succumbed to his injuries, on the early hours of Thursday.The tragic accident has caused much grief among the relatives and neighbours of both the victims. It was then revealed that it was just 10 days back, Vijay was engaged to a girl.
The police are investigating, if overspeeding had caused the accident.
