TN CM only CM in India to support farm reform bill outside of BJP ruled states - MP Kanimozhi in Pollachi.

Coimbatore: DMK MP Kanimozhi and secretary of the state women's wing is campaigning for Stalin's 'Vidiyalai Nokki' in the Coimbatore district.

In Pollachi today, a meeting was held with various organizations including women's self-help groups and women's organizations. In it, Kanimozhi, who was present, said that separate courts would be set up to investigate crimes against women and impose punishments soon after the formation of the DMK regime.

She said, "Stalin's 'Vidiyalai Nokki' campaign has been well received in Tamil Nadu, and it is clear that the people have decided that the DMK should rule soon. Under the AIADMK regime, people from all walks of life such as self-help groups, entrepreneurs, workers and farmers have been affected for 10 years. Unemployment, in particular, is rampant. So, people have decided to end this rule." She added that Rajinikanth's party and entry into politics has no impact on the DMK.

Then, when asked by reporters about Stalin's statement that “the Farm Reform Bill should clearly state the impact on farmers, she said millions of farmers in Delhi are struggling because of the impact of the law. He is leaving the farmers in Tamil Nadu to retain his post, the chief minister accused. He is the only CM outside of BJP ruled states to support this bill.”

When asked about her comments on CM asking MK Stalin to point out the effects of the Agriculture law on farmers MP Kanimozhi said lakhs of farmers are protesting in Delhi as the law is unfair to farmers and CM has betrayed TN farmers to keep his post intact.

She said MK Stalin is pointing out the implications of the Farm reform Bill. This law will basically affect the public distribution system and the minimum selling price for agricultural products will not be possible. She said the DMK would continue to oppose the agriculture law amendment bill as farmers would be forced to enter into agreements with corporates and farmers will be incapacitated and cannot go to court and sue.
