Police arrest Periyar activists who protested against Farm Reform Bill


Tirupur: Police arrested Periyar activists who protested against Agriculture Amendment Bills in front of the railway station in Tirupur.

Farmers in Delhi have been protesting for the 14th day in a row against the central government's agriculture law amendment bill. Periyar Unarvalar Kootamaippu in Tirupur todaycalled for a rail strike in support of the farmers protesting in Delhi and urging the central government to meet the demands of the farmers immediately.



Following this, heavy police security was put in place at the railway station. There was a tussle between the Periyar Unarvalar Kootamaippu and the police.



Police arrested the protestors who sat at the entrance of the railway station.
