In a protest against the Central Government's Agricultural Reform Bill, The Communist party members involved in a protest burning effigies.
Coimbatore:The Communist party members participated in a protest at two places in Sulur against the central government's new agricultural reform bill.
MP PR Natrajan participated in a protest that happened in Sultanpet and over 300 members took part in a protest by sitting on the Palladam-Cochin road which created a traffic jam for about 1 hour.
The members who participated in the protest chanted slogans against the central government and also forced the government to take back the new agricultural reform bill.
MP PR Natrajan, Farmer's Union Leader S. Palanisamy, Sultanpet North Zonal DMK Secretary Mahalingam participated in the protest.
Likewise in a similar protest which happened in Pappampati, CITU District Treasurer Velusamy, Ex- Kannampalayam Municipality Leader Munnusami were 150 plus protestors participated and PM Modi's effigy was burned. Police arrested the members who burnt the effigy.
MP Natrajan who later spoke to the media, said that the central government should take back this new hill immediately and also that the chief minister should pass an ordinance that the new agricultural reform bill will not be imposed in Tamil Nadu.
