Newly wed ambulance driver from Coimbatore killed in road accident.
Coimbatore: In a tragic two-wheeler accident, a newly wed ambulance driver died on the spot near Sundarapuram in Coimbatore on Tuesday.
K. Muthumanikandan (26) hails from Ariyalur district and was working as an ambulance driver at a private hospital in Sundarapuram. Muthu Manikandan was married 10 days ago and was staying with his wife at a rented place here.
On the day of the incident, Muthu Manikandan with his friend Mustaq Sheriff who worked in the Biomedical Engineering Department of the same hospital went out on their bike. While they are nearing Madukkarai, their vehicle was allegedly hit by an over speeding bike.
Muthu Manikandan was reportedly thrown off the vehicle and sustainedgreivous injuries to his head. The passersby called for an ambulance, who then admitted Mustaq and the person on the other motorcycle Vishnu Prasad from Madurai to a private hospital.
Meanwhile, Muthu Manikandan was declared dead on the spot. The tragic death of the ambulance driver who has left behind his newly wedded wife has saddened the entire neighborhood.
The Madukarai Police has filed a case and are further investigating the accident.
