Coimbatore Receives Average Rain Fall Of 12.97 mm In A Day!

Coimbatore: Coimbatore had heavy rainfall since yesterday morning causing waterlogging in major areas like Avinashi Road Bridge, Lanka Corner Bridge and Railway Station Road.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore had heavy rainfall since yesterday morning causing waterloggingin major areas like Avinashi Road Bridge, Lanka Corner Bridge and Railway Station Road.

This caused inconvenience to drivers and vehicle owners since the roads have turned slushy.

Further the heavy rains have turned vegetable market in RS Puram, temporary Flower Market in Devanga school ground and MGR market into water flooded areas. This caused inconvenience to the lives of public and merchants and sellers in the market.

Since the onset of North-east monsoon in Coimbatore, lakes in and around the city have received heavy rains especially in areas like Narasampathi Lake , Kirshnampathi Lake, Kuruchi Lake, Valangulam Lake and Muthukannan Lake.
