Coimbatore:32 sovereign jewelry and Rs. 67 thousand robbed in two houses. Saravanan (age 41) is from Lakshmi Nagar near Chinnavedampatti in Coimbatore. He runs a computer shop on 9th Street, Gandhipuram. On the 29th, Saravanan locked his house and moved with his family to his hometown Trichy. When he got back home last night the front door of the house was broken open. Shocked by this, Saravanan went inside the house and found that unidentified persons have broken into the front door of the house and robbed 25 pound jewelry including chain, ring bangle, 42 thousand rupees cash and silver lamp from the wardrobe.
Saravananlodged a complaint with the Saravanampatti police. Police immediately rushed to the home and conducted an investigation and fingerprint experts were called in. They recorded the fingerprints of 4 people which were found in the house. Police have begun an investigation with it and are also looking at footage recorded on surveillance cameras installed in homes in the area to see if there is any footage of suspicious individuals.
Similarly, Britton Pista (24), from Kannappan nagar, Thayiritteri works as a labourer in a workshop near his house. Yesterday morning he locked the house as usual and left the key in the electrical box there. Unidentified men who saw this took the key and opened the lock and went inside. They then broke into the wardrobe and looted 7 sovereign gold jewelry including the chain, necklace, earring, ringand Rs 25,000. An hour later, the Briton Pista came home and was shocked to find that the jewelry money had been looted. He lodged a complaint with the Ratnapuri police. Police have registered a case and are searching for the unidentified person who looted the jewelery and money.
