'GO AIR' starts 3 new services at Coimbatore and 'Indigo' adds 5th flight between Coimbatore - Coimbatore



Coimbatore: It is good news for Air travellers as 'GO AIR' has officially announced to start 3 new services at Coimbatore airport and the airport officials have confirmed it. Meanwhile Indigo has also added one more night flight between Chennai - Coimbatore. Post 'Covid-19' Outbreak, only domestic flight services are given permission to operate. Each month the passengers' movements continue to increase gradually. During May it was 4,511 which increased to 76,470 during October.

In this situation, 'GO AIR' has announced to start three new services at Coimbatore airport to Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai. There were talks going rounds in the market and in various social media platforms. These services were added in the booking site of the 'GO AIR' also. But there was no official confirmation. Whereas now the officials at the Coimbatore airport have confirmed it which has given a big relief to the passengers.

Official sources at the Coimbatore International Airport said,"GO AIR is starting new services at Coimbatore. Addition or deletion we would update." Meanwhile Indigo has also added one more night flight between Coimbatore and Chennai.

Official Sources from Indigo said, "At present we are providing 4 services each day between Coimbatore and Chennai. In addition to this, we are adding one more night flight service in this route. The flight would leave from Chennai at 7:25 pm and reach Coimbatore at 8:30 pm. Again this flight would leave Coimbatore at 9:00 pm and would reach Chennai at 10:05 pm."

Kongu Global Forum(KGF) Director, D.Nanda Kumar said, "We express our sincere thanks to 'GO AIR' and 'Indigo' for starting new and additional services at Coimbatore airport. This would be very helpful to all the passengers of surrounding seven districts who use it. We request 'VISTARA' Airlines also to look at thepotential in operating new services at Coimbatore."
