Farmer killed by an elephant near Gudalur


The Nilgiris: A farmer was killed today in an elephant attack in Odakolli village near Gudalur. Mani, 52, of Odakolli village in Srimadurai panchayat in Gudalur, Nilgiris district, was working in a coffee plantation when he was attacked by an wild elephant and died on the spot.

Upon information Gudalur police rushed to the spot, seized the body and took it to government hospital. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
