All unions protest against companies that do not follow Labour Welfare Department rules in Tirupur


Tirupur: All unions staged a sit-in protest in front of a private company, condemning the company for not following the rules of the Labour Welfare Department. Workers working in a private company operating in the Kumarananthapuram area under the Tirupur Corporation have not been paid the special pay announced by the government.



They have also alleged discrimination in awarding bonuses to workers who do not follow the rules of the Labour Welfare Department during Diwali and they have been insited on working overtime. All the unions todaystaged a sit-in protest in front of the company, accusing it of not informing the company and taking any action. They have warned the strike will continue until the company negotiates and takes action.
